My umbrella story

Hello, and welcome back to my blog, for writing today we wrote about a little girl and her mum donating toys to an orphanage. It was about grit and perseverance. Its like putting somebody else before yourself, or putting yourself in someone else's shoes. Here is my story

Yellow Umbrella

Early one dreadful morning, the old brown wooden door to Miss Elem’s Home For Children creaked open. The girl with the lemon coloured umbrella cautiously entered the orphanage before finding a cosy bucket for her umbrella.  Not wanting to be seen, Boris quickly turned his head around the door frame quickly so that he was hidden from view of the little girl and her mum. Standing off to the side the little girl watched the exciting scene as different children reached into the brown crinkled box for hidden things. The young girl smiled as she watched the young little boy speeding around the room like a UFO. Her smile slowly dropped as she looked back to the wet rusty umbrella stand and all she saw were puddles. Her beloved yellow umbrella had vanished.

Do you know what perseverance is?
